"Maggie and Derek came to my function and played music in the form of DJ rather than their usual business of Karaoke, but for their first time as DJ's we take off our hats to them, the music was great and crystal clear and was enjoyed by all. Maggie and Derek were happy to work in with our program of events which was much appreciated as other DJ's we contacted simply could not comprehend the type of event we were trying to put together. We held a social club function at our hotel in Auckland and it was a huge hit. We combined the idea of 4th of July Independence Day and American Idol, to produce a Red White & Blue themed Langham Idol.
The night was a huge success with a huge thanks to Maggie & Derek who went above and beyond the call of duty in playing for each of our contestants then on to a free for all. The evening was so much fun and at the end, people were still wanting more. You know it's a good night when in the wee hours of the morning, people are still wanting to continue singing karaoke.
We highly recommend the dedication and commitment to customer satisfaction that Maggie & Derek provide. Look them up some time and you too can be in a position of holding a night that will be talked about for months after the event.

Madas Karaoke were recommended to us when we also were let down at short notice by a band but this was due to illness. They did a sterling job of entertaining for our anniversary party and luckily we had a few very willing singers there. Thank you Maggie and Derek for making our anniversary memorable for us and everyone would like to say thank you for the gifts and making the evening a lot of fun. Maggie (magpie) and Derek are great friend of ours, they got us started in Karaoke when they moved to Tauranga the opportunity came up for us to play at the Albion Hotel. Thank you both for that! Maggie and Derek Scott-Nicholson were hired to run a Karioke Night for my son’s 21st birthday party in May 2007. We had never been to, or participated in a Karioke party before, so this was a new experience for us.
Their professionalism and commitment to making sure the entertainment for the evening went smoothly surpassed our wildest dreams. They both have amazing vocal talents as well as the ability to ‘work the audience’. Maggie and Derek ensured that all tastes were catered for in their selection of songs and even those ‘closet singers’ were delighting the party goers with their vocal talents before long. We have used the Karaoke services of Maggie and Derek on several occasions and are already planning our next party with them. These guys are fantastic!
